Official release date Elements of Life DVD announced

Tiësto’s Elements of Life World Tour DVD will be officially released in the Benelux on the 29th of February and from the 7th of March onwards in the rest of the world.

The long anticipated live DVD will feature a live registration of Tiësto’s concert in Parken Stadium, Copenhagen and comes in Blu Ray and regular DVD format.

Both double disc versions cover over four hours of Tiësto’s concert in Denmark; the additional footage such as an exciting On The Road feature, music videos, TV commercials and a full soundtrack in MP3 of the entire live set will be available on the DVD only.

Tiësto’s Elements of Life World Tour to visit Asia and Australia

Continuing his successful Elements of Life World Tour, Tiësto will soon take his upcoming performances to Asia and Australia.

Over a period of six weeks, Tiësto will visit a long string of venues from Hong Kong to Australia in a real tour de force that will give even more people a chance to be a part of the real Elements of Life World Tour experience.

Elements of Life DVD premiere parties announced

Preceding the final release of his Elements of Life World Tour DVD, Tiësto will host three highly exclusive premiere parties to give his audience an early sneak peek. Three capital cities, including Copenhagen where the actual footage for the DVD was shot, will figure as the stage for the events.

The premiere parties will offer a unique chance for the visitors to see a part of the Elements of Life World Tour DVD before its official release. The visitors will get a perfect idea of what the people in Copenhagen experienced and the icing on the cake will of course be Tiësto’s performance after the premiere.

Spread over three different European countries, the locations chosen for the event are: Club Escape in Amsterdam on February 22nd, Club Vega in Copenhagen on February 28th and the Indig02 in London on February 29th.

Tiësto wins Dutch BUMA golden harp award 2007

The board of the Dutch BUMA has announced that Tiësto won the BUMA golden harp award 2007. The harp award is considered one of the most important prizes in Dutch music industry.

First assigned in 1962, the golden harp is awarded to people that have, in a special way, positively represented Dutch music throughout their career.

Tiësto announces release Elements of Life World Tour DVD

After more than a year of entertaining the globe with his Elements of Life World Tour, Tiësto will release his long anticipated Elements of Life DVD with a full live registration recorded during his concert in the famous Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The DVD, scheduled for the beginning of March 2008, covers over four hours of Tiësto’s performance in Copenhagen and will be available in two different formats: as regular DVD and state of the art Blu Ray DVD with full DTS audio, both versions with surprising extras.

Since Tiësto’s Elements of Life World Tour concerts are supported by a vast array of modern equipment, the venue for the DVD recording had to be large enough to handle the full scale of the show.

The Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark turned out to be an excellent location to shoot the footage for the DVD. With a little over 25,000 people attending the performance and enjoying the music of Tiësto, the atmosphere captured on video gives a fantastic impression of what the Elements of Life World Tour is all about.

Within a very short period of time more information on the DVD will be released.

Artists: On October 10 2008 Tijs Verwest a.k.a. Tiësto and his girlfriend Stacey Blokzijl are going to get married! Last month Tiësto asked Stacey while they were visiting Mauritania. UPDATED 15.00.Today Dutch newspaper ‘De Telegraaf’ is announcing that Tijs Verwest a.k.a. DJ Tiësto and his girlfriend Stacey Blokzijl are going to get married on October 10 2008!

Trance.nu tried to reach Tijs for a comment but he’s currently unavailable on vacation. His management confirms this information to be true.

“On October 10 2008 Tijs Verwest a.k.a. Tiësto and his girlfriend Stacey Blokzijl are going to get married! Last month Tiësto proposed his 19 year old girlfriend Stacey while they were visiting Mauritania.

At the moment they are busy with the preperations of the wedding. More information regarding where the wedding will be held is unknown yet.”

Tiësto guest host on Radio 1 “Dance Anthems”

On the 11th of January, Tiësto will host the famous BBC dance program ‘Dance Anthems’ on Radio 1 from 23.00 – 01.00. The regular host of the show Dave Pearce, currently on vacation, has invited several DJs to host his program during his absence.
Tiësto will be playing an hour of his favourite classics, combined with hot new tracks. To end his two hour presentation, Tiësto will deliver an exclusive 30 minute live mix featuring the latest cuts from his own collection.
